IPL 2024 Player Auction list announced
The roster for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Player Auction has been unveiled, featuring 333 cricketers scheduled to go under the gavel in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena on December 19th, 2023.
Out of 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players of which 2 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 116, uncapped players are 215 and 2 from associate nations.
A maximum of 77 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players.
INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 23 players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket.
13 players are in the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore.
The Auction will start at 11:30 AM Local time (Dubai) – 1:00 PM IST.
IPL LSG Team 2023 Players List: With back-to-back playoffs finish in their first two Indian Premier League seasons, the Lucknow Super Giants would want to take another step in the points table in 2024.
Ahead of the 2024 IPL auction, LSG released eight players and have a purse limit of Rs 13.15 crore left to fill the six vacant spots left.
Among those retained - 17 - are skipper KL Rahul, Ravi Bishnoi, Krunal Pandya, Amit Mishra, Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran and Mark Wood, Marcus Stoinis and Naveen ul Haq.
Last season, the franchise had finished fourth after losing the Eliminator to Mumbai Indians. This, after skipper KL Rahul was ruled out owing to an injury midway through the season. In his absence, Krunal Pandya had led the team to the playoffs.
Among the players released were Karun Nair, Jaydev Unadkat and Daniel Sams.
With the batting department boasting some big hitters, Lucknow would be eyeing options to solidify their bowling bench strength.
